Our Company

Jason Friedland is a seasoned entrepreneur with a diverse portfolio of business ventures.  In 2002, Jason co-founded Westrock Development, a privately held real estate investment company which owns and manages more than one million square feet of primarily commercial space.  Jason has spearheaded the acquisition of almost 40 properties in several states.

Jason is also the co-founder and former Chief Executive Officer of Sensible Auto Finance, a subprime auto finance company that operates across most of the continental United States.  Jason was responsible for coordinating and overseeing all aspects of the company’s operations, and lead the technological and data-driven efforts to systematize and automate business processes for compliance, efficiency, and consistency.  Currently, Jason serves on the company’s board of directors.

Jason is also co-founder and co-owner of Shleppers Moving & Storage, one of the largest moving companies in the NY Tri-State area.  

In addition to his professional responsibilities, Jason sits on the board of directors for First Federal Savings of Middletown, a community bank.  He was also the former President of the Board for The Leffell School, and has been active in many other philanthropic endeavors.

Prior to starting his entrepreneurial career, Mr. Friedland was an investment banker at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc.

Jason holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and graduated with honors from Tufts University with degrees in international relations and economics.  He also studied finance at the London School of Economics.  Jason lives in Mamaroneck, with his wife Jacqueline, and their four children.

Michael Friedland is a multidisciplinary entrepreneur and seasoned investor with a track record of building businesses that combine operational efficiency, creative marketing, and financial discipline. As co-founder of Fraternal Capital, Michael specializes in acquiring commercial real estate assets at or near replacement cost, with a focus on strategic asset management and portfolio growth.

With a background spanning philosophy, the arts, real estate, logistics, and technology-enabled services, Michael identifies valuable patterns across industries and translates complexity into clarity—and results. He brings strategic insight, real-world wisdom, and a proven ability to anticipate market shifts to every project.

Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Tufts University and an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business. In addition to his business ventures, he is a sleight-of-hand expert who has performed at the Magic Castle and appeared in multiple films for his skill with a deck of cards. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and four children.
